WNC president to speak at Monday's Democratic luncheon

October 30, 2023 - 1:00pm The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be J. Kyle Dalpe, Ph.D., president of Western Nevada College. Dr. Dalpe has worked in higher education for more than 27 years supporting student access and success. In March 2023, he was appointed President of Western Nevada College (WNC), a rural community college with campuses in Carson City, Fallon and Minden, after serving more than a year in an interim capacity. He previously served as Provost and Senior Vice President at WNC, overseeing academic affairs, finance and student services.

March 1, 2021 - 12:00pm Featured speaker at Monday's Democratic tele-luncheon will be Alexander Marks, Communications Director for the Nevada State Education Association. A school union, the NSEA is the largest education association in the state of Nevada, and is an affiliate of the National Education Association. Using a PowerPoint, Alex will present background information and research reports on a variety of issues affecting education in Nevada.
