Brewery Arts Center seeking new operator for cafe

The Brewery Arts Center is pleased to announce it is in process of seeking a new operator for the BAC Cafe located in the Artisans Store.

Qualified food operators interested in submitting a proposal please seek the Request for Proposal here. Deadline is March 9.

The BAC will be hosting an open house for any interested operators Monday Feb. 13 at 3pm, including a tour of the facilities and get an over view of the program.

Enjoy an afternoon of wine, art and music in the Brewery Arts Center’s Artisans Store Saturday, January 7th from Noon to 5:00pm. Resident artists and teachers will demonstrate their crafts as part of the Downtown Carson City Wine Walk. Sip wine and nibble hors d’oeuvres while watching the artisans create new works of art. Plus, accomplished Dulcimer musicians will provide music throughout the afternoon. You don’t need to take part in the Wine Walk to join in.

Enjoy the acoustical sounds of Tyler Stafford, February 4th from 2 – 5pm in the Brewery Arts Center’s Artisans Store. The Reno native has been impressing audiences with his smooth voice and guitar playing talent. Stafford will perform songs from his newly released album “On a String”. The Reno Gazette Journal named it one of the 10 best albums released by area artists this year.

After gaining experience playing open mics around Reno, Stafford became a regular performer at area restaurants and bars. His musical talent, low key stage presence and good looks earned him a large following.

21st Annual Women's Wellness Week at Tahoe's Granlibakken

As part of Granlibakken’s commitment to health & wellness, the annual Lake Tahoe Women’s Wellness Weekend – a long standing community event previously coordinated by the Tahoe Forest Hospital - will now be hosted by Granlibakken, Nov. 12-13, 2011. The event fuses Eastern tradition with Western practices to offer a balanced weekend interactive clinics on skin screenings, body/muscle testing; inspirational and informative seminars on health, nutrition, aging; recreational activities along with food and wine.
