The Annual 4-H Fabric Sale will be held on February 3rd and 4th, 2024 at Fuji Park Exhibit Hall, 601 Old Clear Creek Rd in Carson City. Doors will be open on Saturday from 9 am to 4pm and Sunday from 9am to noon (weather depending.)

The annual sale is traditionally held at Fuji Park Exhibition Hall in late January or early February.

Sales times for Saturday, Feb. 1 are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Sunday, Feb. 2 , sales times will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Fabrics of all kinds and sewing notions will be available for purchase. Most fabric will be sold for a dollar a yard. All proceeds from the sale will benefit Carson City, Storey County's 4-H Council scholarship funds.

Welcome to Super Bowl Sunday, Carson City! The world's largest, most watched and expensive sporting event takes place today, which is fortuitous given the stormy weather outside.
Even Carson Cassie, Carson City's endearing retention pond monster, may spend the day inside watching the game and getting ideas for her next sneak play at the pond. Pass the hot wings please!

Happy Groundhog Day, Carson City! While the prognosticating Punxsutawney Phil looks for his shadow in western Pennsylvania, our region is bracing for more Winter weather due to arrive this weekend.
Phil might speak for his neck of the woods, where he bats about .390, but I would keep an eye on our critters here to determine how much more Winter we have left.
