Greater Nevada Credit Union recognizes Carson City School employees making a difference
Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) launched a new campaign earlier this month titled Carson CARES, which recognized Carson City School District employees who exemplified positivity in school and made a difference in their school community.
GNCU awarded five grand prizes where winners received a $500 donation for their classroom or program as well as a $100 gift certificate or gift card to their favorite local restaurant. Additionally, out of all the nominees, one individual was selected in a random drawing to win a hosted pizza party for their classroom or team, valued up to $400.
More than 85 nominations were submitted. Winners include the following:
— Carson Middle School Counselor Jeremy Batten
— Carson Middle School Spanish Teacher Janelle Kaufer
— Carson High School NJROTC Commander Dan Meyer
— Carson High School Special Education Teacher Brenda Ramirez, the only Spanish-speaking Special ED teacher at Carson High
— Seeliger Elementary School First Grade Teacher Socorro Vega
— Carson Middle School Principal Amy Robinson was also awarded a lunch party worth $400 for her school.
School employees were able to nominate multiple peers. Carson City School District and the Carson City School District Foundation are passionate about creating a foundation in which students can explore, question, succeed and develop in a meaningful and diverse way. GNCU’s passion for “Helping More People Live Greater” drives everything they do.
Through GNCU’s Carson Cares campaign, they are helping Carson City School District employees achieve a stronger foundation of financial wellness for greater opportunities with access to tailored benefits.
