Carson City man tied to 2016 large meth bust held on $1 million bail
A 35-year-old Carson City man arrested in August 2016 as part of a large methamphetamine ring run in Carson City and in California was booked into jail Wednesday with $1 million cash bail for a failure to appear warrant and a parole and probation violation, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
Hugo Diaz-Lizarraga was booked at 7:30 p.m. for the First Judicial Court warrant out of Carson City. The warrant is associated with an August 2016 drug bust in which Diaz-Lizarraga and five others were arrested after nearly 4 pounds of methamphetamine was seized in a Tri-Net drug task force raid at a Carson City home. Arrest warrants were executed in Carson City and the Bakersfield, Calif., area.
The warrant was issued Oct. 23, 2017 out of Carson City District Court for failure to appear on a charge of trafficking a schedule 1 controlled substance, 28 grams or more, a category A felony. He was brought to Carson City by Prisoner Transportation Services.

— A 37-year-old Carson City man, Duane Richard Enoch, was arrested Wednesday, 8:05 p.m. in the 1600 block of Medical Parkway for felony suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. According to the arrest report, the man allegedly went a residence in the 1400 block of Saliman Road, knocked on the door and then threatened a woman who answered it.
Enoch said he was looking for the woman’s son and that he was going to hurt him. The woman said the man pulled out a red pocket knife, opened it and waved it at her. Three witnesses collaborated the woman’s statement.
The suspect admitted he had pulled his pocket knife out and opened the blade saying he was confronted by several residents at the home and was afraid they were going to hurt him, the arrest report states. Bail: $20,000.
— A 30-year-old Carson City woman, Aimee Elizabeth Dixon, was arrested Wednesday, 6 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Carson Street for felony suspicion of state probation violation. According to the arrest report, the woman had a confirmed Priority 5 felony warrant out for her arrest through Nevada Parole and Probation. She is being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 64-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday in the 2200 block of East William Street for a misdemeanor failure to appear traffic warrant issued April 18, 2017 out of Reno Township Court. Bail: $300.
— A 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 6:23 p.m. in the area of North Carson and East Caroline for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant, driving without a valid license and following too close. Bail: $554.
— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 1:54 p.m. in the area of North Roop and East Winnie streets for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued April 24, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $215.
— A 48-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 12:54 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Fifth Street for a misdemeanor domestic battery warrant issued Dec. 8, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man and current Carson City Jail inmate, was booked Tuesday on a misdemeanor outside agency warrant out of East Fork Township Court. The warrant was issued Dec. 12. Bail: $5,000.
— A 22-year-old Reno man was arrested Tuesday, 2:49 p.m. in the area of William and Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI drugs, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. According to the arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of William and Carson. During the crash investigation it was determined the 23-year-old was at fault and the only contributing factor to the crash.
The deputy could smell an odor of marijuana on the man, who said he had some “weed” in the back of his car and that he smoked marijuana earlier that morning but could not remember when. The man said he smoked the marijuana in his car. He agreed to standardized field sobriety tests that were either not completed successfully or not attempted. He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana. Bail: $1,137.
