Man arrested in Bakersfield as part of large methamphetamine ring now in Carson City jail
A 34-year-old man who was arrested earlier this month in Bakersfield along with five others in Carson City for alleged involvement in a large methamphetamine trafficking ring was extradited to Carson City on Friday where he is being held on $250,000 bail, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Hugo Diaz-Lizarraga was booked into jail Friday, 10:30 a.m. on felony warrants for drug trafficking and failure to appear for a sentencing hearing. He is being held for trafficking a schedule 1 controlled substance of 28 grams or more and there’s a no-bail hold for the felony charge of failure to appear.
Nearly four pounds of methamphetamine and three weapons were seized in the Aug. 17 Tri-Net drug task force raid at a Carson City home following a three-month investigation.
Arrest warrants were executed in Carson City and Bakersfield. During the investigation, the decade long Mexican drug trafficking organization operated through Carson City was dismantled, said Sgt. Dan Johnson, Nevada Department of Public Safety Investigation Division of the Tri-Net Narcotic Task Force.

Omar Herrera, 21, for aggravated re-entry into the United States
Noe Galvan-Olmos, 54, for:

— Possession of a Controlled Substance – Meth (Felony)
— Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdo)
Celina Ramirez-Diaz, 34, for:

— Maintaining a Drug House (Felony)
Sergio Herrera, 36, for:
— Conspiracy (Felony)
— Maintaining a Drug House (Felony)
Javier Herrera, 34, for:
— Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – Level III (Felony)
— Conspiracy (Felony)
— Sales of a Controlled Substance – Meth (Felony)
— Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to sell (Felony)
The arrests were conducted by the Tri-NET Narcotic Task Force and was assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team. Bakersfield DEA, Bakersfield Police Department, California Highway Patrol and Reno DEA also assisted in this case.
