Three Carson City school classes recognized Wednesday among 'Dolan Class Project' winners
The Carson City School District continued Wednesday to share special thanks to Dolan Auto Group for donating $50,000 to schools throughout Carson City. The money was awarded last month as part of the “Dolan Class Project,” a community benefit program the dealership hosts each year.
Three classes that didn't have photos taken, were recognized Wednesday, Dec. 1 with a celebratory check from Brady and Ryan Dolan of Dolan Auto Group.
In the first photo, Carson Middle School's Briana Valley and her music class celebrate with Brady and Ryan Dolan with a $5,000 check to help fund the annual Veteran’s Day concert. In the second photo, Bordewich Bray Elementary School Teacher James Barfield celebrates with Brady and Ryan Dolan and Mr. Barfield’s third grade students. In the third and final photo, Pioneer Academy's Daniel Echebarria accepts a $5,000 donation to build a new fine arts stage.
Carson City schools raked in the winnings from the competition with 8 out of the 10 total Carson City schools earning funding. In total, nine winners were awarded including the grand prize. Go here for the full story.
