Carson City sheriff's weekend bookings: Arrests made for DUIs, warrants
A 42-year-old man was arrested Saturday for a felony warrant alleging burglary, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Brendon Farmer was booked for the warrant after being transferred from Washoe County Jail. The warrant was issued May 18, 2023. No bail hold in lieu of hearing.
In other arrests:
— A 23-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI Second Alcohol and Drugs and basic speeding.
According to the booking report, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with Arizona license plates traveling northbound on North Carson Street. The vehicle was stopped at North Carson Street and East William Street after speeding, having being paced at 41 mph from Telegraph to Washington streets, according to a CCSO booking report.
The deputy made contact with the driver who had glossy eyes as well as a visible marijuana pipe in the center console of the car with burn marijuana inside the bowl. The deputy asked the woman if she had been drinking. She stated she had not. She was asked if she had used any drugs including marijuana and she said she would have it in her blood if she was tested for it, the arrest report states.
The officer asked the woman when she last used and she stated it would be in her system. The officer had the woman step outside her vehicle to perform standardized field sobriety tests. During the tests she showed signs of impairment. She provided a breath test with a result of .118. She was arrested for suspicion of DUI 2nd, alcohol and drugs as well as speeding. Bail: $2,749.
— A 40-year-old Carson City man, Jerett Mcalister, was arrested Friday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and parole and probation violation. No bail hold in lieu of hearing.
— A 36-year-old Sun Valley man, Jesus Adrian Garcia, was arrested Sunday, 1:45 a.m. for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $3,637.
— A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
According to the booking report, at around 3:45 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle crash in the 2600 block of South Edmonds Drive. Dispatch advised that the resident of the home said a male subject ask for help at their front gate intercom. The reporting party told dispatch the male subject sounded intoxicated and was telling them something about a car crash, the arrest report states.
Deputes arrived and found a vehicle crashed into a drainage ditch near the front driveway of the residence. All airbags had been deployed in the vehicle and there was heavy damage to the front end, which had rammed into a concrete wall that supported a driveway bridge across a ditch.
The officer noticed a fresh puddle of human urine near the intercom device for the front gate. The deputy located a male subject walking southbound near S. Edmonds. The officer stopped the man who identified himself. Soon after, the officer learned from the patrol unit at the scene of the crash that the vehicle in the crash was registered to the man the officer had located, the report states.
The officer could smell a thick odor of alcohol coming from his person. The officer asked the man if he had been drinking and the main replied yes. The man then told the officer to just test him and take him to jail. The man spontaneously uttered "I've been driving and I'm over the legal limit."
The man submitted to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test of .161 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. He was taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital for medical clearance and a blood draw was done. Bail: $1,774.
— A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for a misdemeanor domestic battery warrant issued Oc.t 6, 2023 out of Carson City Justice Court. Book and release.
— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of violation of bail conditions and minor in consumption. No bail amount given.
— A Carson City man was arrested Sunday for a misdemeanor warrant issued out of Sparks Municipal Court. Bail: $500.
— A Carson City man was arrested Friday in the 1400 block of North Carson Street for suspicion of violation of bail conditions. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a North Carson Street address for a domestic dispute. Dispatch advised there was a lot of yelling and an intoxicated woman trying to load her truck and leave.
A deputy arrived on scene and located the woman who was packing up her truck. She stated nothing was physical. A deputy made contact with a man at the residence who was in bed.
Dispatch advised the man was on Department of Alternative Sentencing with a stay away order where he was the adverse party and required to stay way from the woman, according to the report.
He also had a "no alcohol or drugs" order with search and seizure. He provided a preliminary breath test of .14 and was arrested for violation of bail conditions. Bail: $3,000 cash.
— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for a gross misdemeanor warrant alleging child endangerment and a misdemeanor warrant for battery. Both warrants were issued Sept. 29, 2023. Bail: $7,500.
— A 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Sept. 19, 2023 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.
— A Carson City woman was arrested Saturday for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant. She was in Washoe County jail and transferred to Carson City for the warrant. Bail: $3,000 cash.
