Carson City Sheriff's Office receives grant funding to participate in Joining Forces program
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce its participation in the Joining Forces traffic safety campaign that combines 30 law enforcement agencies across the State of Nevada focused on traffic safety awareness and enforcement. The campaign series will run from October 2024 through September 2025.
Sheriff Furlong has stated that the Carson City Sheriff’s Office is committed to safer streets for both vehicle operation and pedestrian traffic. Participating in the Joining Forces campaign allows for more opportunities to prevent traffic incidents and educate the public on safe driving practices. While the goal of the Sheriff’s Office is Zero Traffic Fatalities, we lost 6 victims to death on our roadways in 2023. With the departments participation in Joining Forces events, we are committed to reaching Zero Fatalities during 2024-2025.
