Nevada Day Treasure Hunt returns this year with new family at the helm
The Nevada Day Treasure Hunt will be retuning this year, but with a new family taking charge. From 2015 to 2021, the Mahe family took over the annual Nevada-themed treasure hunt, before turning the time-honored family-fun month-long activity into the hands of the McKee family.
Paul and Roxy McKee, along with their three daughters Michele, Teresa, and Angela moved to Carson City from Montana in 1984. The family has been fervent hunters of the Nevada Day Treasure Hunt for many years, and jumped at the chance to take it on for themselves.
As in normal years, the Nevada Day treasure hunt will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 4, and ends either when the medallion is found or on Nevada Day, Oct. 31.
One clue will be metered out each day Tuesday through Saturday, with breaks on Sunday and Monday. You can find the clues each morning on Carson Now, as well on the new Nevada Day Treasure Hunt website at https://nevadadaytreasurehunt.org/
A new medallion has been created for this year’s event, and Carson Tahoe Hospital has generously donated the $1,000 grand prize to the lucky winner who can decipher the clues and find the hidden medallion!
