Goodbye blue skies? Haze and smoke returns to Carson City region
After a few days of blue skies and sunshine, smoke and haze will be returning to the Carson City region thanks to southwestern winds, which are mixing with smoke from nearby wildfires and are being pushed into the lower atmosphere.
Residents can expect areas of reduced air quality and visibility through Wednesday across the region as particles are pushed into the area.
The National Weather Service and AirNow.gov are predicting a Moderate Air Quality score through Wednesday. Individuals who are "unusually sensitive" to particle pollution should stay indoors, and avoid strenuous activities if possible.
