Carson City Sheriff's Office investigates early morning shooting on North Carson Street

UPDATE 6:52AM: Two female suspects are in custody and a third person remains at large following a shooting earlier this morning on North Carson Street, Sheriff Ken Furlong said. The incident allegedly started in Washoe Valley, with shots fired in the area of North Carson Street that hit a vehicle. Investigators combed the shooting area and located a number of bullet casings. North Carson Street is now open.

Southbound lanes on North Carson Street near Hot Springs Road and Winnie Lane were closed Tuesday morning as the Carson City Sheriff's Office investigates a shooting, according to Sheriff Ken Furlong. No injuries were reported.
The incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. and led to a vehicle pursuit up Highway 50/Spooner to Incline Village and possibly across the state line. A suspect vehicle was stopped. Details are unknown at this time regarding the suspect or suspects involved in the vehicle stop.
Carson City Sheriff's Office investigators are in the 2000 block of North Carson Street near Hot Springs Road collecting evidence this morning. Motorists are being re-directed around the crime scene, said Furlong.
