Carson City arrests: Man admits to supplying Twisted tea, whiskey for teen booze party
A 21-year-old man was arrested Sunday for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, admitting he supplied alcohol to teens for a party, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
According to the booking reports deputies were dispatched to a restaurant in the 3000 block of South Carson Street for a report of minors consuming alcohol inside a vehicle while parked in a parking lot.
A deputy arrived and found the vehicle empty in the parking lot. There was an open can of Twisted Tea and a near empty bottle of whiskey.
Inside the restaurant was a large group of juveniles. A group of five left the restaurant and tried to walk around the building away from deputies, the report states.
A deputy walked around the building and brought the group in front. Inside was another group of eight juveniles. All juveniles were given preliminary breath tests. Nine of the 13 juveniles were over .08 on the tests, the report states.
Deputies spoke with two of the juveniles who stated the 21-year-old bought and provided alcohol to the group that was drinking.
The 21-year-old was read his Miranda warning and stated he understood. He stated he was working on a vehicle when one of the juveniles asked him if he wanted to go to a party.
The 21-year-old said he would like to go to the party and the juvenile asked if he could buy the alcohol. He stated he agreed to buy alcohol because he was the only person over the age of 21, the report states.
Based on his confession, two statements from juveniles and the intoxication level of the juveniles, the man was arrested. The juveniles were released to their respective parents without citations. Bail: $1,137.

— A 29-year-old Sparks woman, Mayra Rodriguez-Torres, was arrested Sunday for a felony warrant issued August 14, 2024 out of Sparks Township Justice Court. Bail: $2,500.
— A 35-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
