Levitt AMP organizers hopeful for improved air quality ahead of tonight's concert in Carson City

Event Date:
July 24, 2021 - 7:00pm

Despite poor air quality in Carson City and the surrounding areas due to multiple active fires, the Brewery Arts Center plans to move forward with the third weekend of the Levitt AMP concert series tonight at 7 p.m.

According to Gina Lopez, executive director at the BAC, organizers hope for afternoon wind to blow out some of the smoke.

Carson City's air quality, according to airnow.gov, is reported to be 176 AQI, or unhealthy, as of approximately 12:55 p.m.

Tommy Castro and the Painkillers are scheduled to perform tonight at the outdoor venue on King Street until 10 p.m. Background on Tommy and his band can be found here.

All concerts will be held in the BAC’s outdoor amphitheatre and are free of charge. A full list of this summer’s performers can be found here.
