Carson City emergency crews respond to hit and run crash involving pedestrian

UPDATE 10:30PM: An arrest has been made in Monday night's hit and run pedestrian crash at Oak and Clearview that seriously injured a male juvenile, Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Brian Mays confirmed.
The name of the suspect will be released later Tuesday morning and will include the charges, said Mays. The condition of the victim, who was flown by Care Flight to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center, is unknown at this time. The arrest was made at an Edmonds Drive home following the CCSO investigation into the crash.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Monday night to a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Oak and Clearview in south Carson City.
The incident was reported shortly before 8:50 p.m. A Care Flight helicopter was ordered. The suspect vehicle took off from the scene headed west on Clearview, an arriving Carson City sheriff's deputy learned from witnesses.
The suspect vehicle has damage to the front end and windshield, according to witnesses.
The condition of the victim is unknown at this time. The victim was transported by ambulance to the Carson City Airport where they will be flown by Care Flight air ambulance to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
