Carson City Greenhouse Project's Grateful Harvest Dinner tickets available beginning Monday
The Greenhouse Project's Grateful Harvest Dinner taking place Monday, Sept. 18, at Nashville Social Club, is fully sponsored thanks to the generosity of community members and businesses. Tickets for the wine or beer-paired, multi-course dinner go on sale Monday, June 19.
"This has been such an amazing outpouring," said Karen Abowd, TGP founder and president. "We have been doing the dinner for so many years now, that I think people anticipate and want to be part of the work TGP does for the community, which is what the sponsorships support."
The 14th annual dinner will include recipes from Chef Charlie Abowd's book, "Recipes and Rambles That Made Adele's a Nevada Hotspot," created by Nashville's Chef Tony Schafer.
Sponsorships help to cover the ongoing operational costs at Green Central, located on the Carson High School campus and the Foothill Garden site at Carson Tahoe Health's campus, as well as the costs with hosting the dinner.
Sponsorship categories and sponsors are:
Gratitude ($10,000), Don and Sherry Kuhl; Busy Bee ($10,000), Julius Ballardini; Fresh Sprouts ($8,000), Aspire; Bloom & Grow ($5,000), co-sponsors Carson Tahoe Health and Carson City Toyota; Wine ($2,500), SWGas; Music ($2,000), Brian Andrew’s/Farmers Ins: Course sponsors ($1,500 each), Manhard Consulting, First Independent Bank, Jefferey Pace and Gabriel Aguayo, Kilpatrick Bullentini, NV Energy, John Procaccini and Kitty McKay, Congressman Mark Amodei, Michelle and Rocky Joy, Dr. Jim and Midge Breeden, Bodine's, Silver Bullet LLC, Capital Tree Care LLC/Tom Wion, and Top Notch Distributing; Angel Donors ($5,000 each): Dr. Sandra Koch and Dr. Timothy McFarren and Soraya and Dr. Jose Aguirre; Grow It Forward: Gold Dust West (open to all as noted below).
