Carson City man jailed on felony domestic battery charge; allegedly punched and choked wife

A 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of felony domestic battery after allegedly beating and choking his wife until she passed out, a Carson City Sheriff's Office deputy said. Gerald Richard Perschke was booked into Carson City Jail on $20,000 bail.
According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched at around 4 p.m. to a Bodie Drive address. Officers met with the victim who said she and her husband got into an argument over money. She said the man dragged her down the stairs, punched her in the face and then choked her until she lost consciousness and was without clothes. When she awoke she ran to the upstairs portion of the home and yelled out to neighbors for help.
The man followed her upstairs, punched her several more times and then wrapped her up in a bear hug, squeezing her to the point where she was coughing up blood, the arrest report states.
The woman was able to get away and ran outside and yelled for help. One neighbor told her they wouldn't help because of all the guns Perschke has in his possession. The neighbor, however, changed their mind, gave the woman some clothes and drove her to a place where she could call police. The victim met with officers at the corner of Bodie and Camille streets.
Officers speaking with the distraught woman observed signs of battery with blood on her shirt, her arms and her legs. Officers observed redness and swelling on the right side of her neck that looked like finger marks from being chocked. She had swelling and contusions on her left temple and her chin. Photos of the woman's injuries were taken.
Officers attempted to contact the man inside the home for approximately 15 minutes prior to getting consent to kick in the door. Deputies forced the front door open and took Perschke into custody.

A 20-year-old Carson City woman was jailed on a charge of felony eluding causing endangerment after leading officers on a vehicle pursuit Saturday night.
Fatima Derosario Villalobos is being held in Carson City Jail on $21,063 bail. She also faces four misdemeanor charges including contributing to the delinquency of a minor, being a minor consuming alcohol, driving without headlights and blowing a stop sign. A 19-year-old man who was with her was cited for being a minor consuming alcohol, with a .232 preliminary breath test.
According to the arrest report, a Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team deputy spotted the woman's red Mitsubishi without headlights traveling north on Siskiyou Street. The officer attempted to pull her over but the vehicle, still without headlights, continued traveling around 40 mph, nearly hitting pedestrians who were crossing the street.
Villalobos eventually stopped the car in the parking lot of Empire Elementary School. There were four others in the car. According to the arrest report, the 19-year-old man who was arrested for misdemeanor minor consuming, taunted officers, telling them "come get me" and "you can't slow us down."
Meanwhile Villalobos blew a .06 on her preliminary breath test, according to the arrest report.
