It Took Teamwork: Carson High School class of 2015 graduates
Under bright and sunny skies in Carson City, Carson High School said goodbye and congratulations to their class of 2015.
Families and friends of the graduates packed into the Carson High School football field at 10 a.m. on Saturday, straining their necks and ears to see and hear the name of their graduating loved ones. Graduates, adorned with candy and floral leis and intricately decorated caps, filed into the stadium scanning the audience for family members. Go here for the full list of graduate names.
"Congratulations to class of 2015 this is your moment," said Jessica Basa, Carson High School valedictorian. "It is because you took advantage of the present moment that you are able to sit here and call yourself high school graduates. I hope you have more moments like this where you stop and say 'wow, I really do love now.'"
Carson High principal, Tasha Fuson congratulated the class of 2015 on their many accomplishments and achievements they obtained over the last four years of high school. The class of 2015 is Fuson's first Carson High graduating class and she couldn't be more proud of them, she said.
"I'm glad I got to share this day with such great company," said Sarah Christl, Carson High Salutatorian. "I can assure all of you that this moment, looking at this wonderful group of students who are about to graduate will definitely make my one percent."
Caps flew into the air with screams of joy as the class of 2015 was presented. Graduates did not waste any time scurrying over to hug and be congratulated by their family and friends.
