Carson City e-cigarette vendor says new FDA rules are ineffective
Carson City – Effective August 10, ads and packaging for e-cigarettes and associated devices must include a warning that the products contain nicotine and that nicotine is addictive. Just like combustible tobacco products, new rules from the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) require the warning to occupy 20 percent of the ad or package space. According to FDA Administrator Scott Gottlieb, the new rules are intended to curb teen use, which he referred to as an, “epidemic.”
