Carson City man booked on second DUI, driving with a revoked license and more
A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Highway 50 and Silver State after deputies began following a vehicle that could not maintain its lane.
After stopping the vehicle, deputies made contact with the man who had red, watery eyes and deputies stated they could smell a slight odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle.
Deputies asked if he had consumed any alcoholic beverages and he said he hadn’t, and agreed to a field sobriety test.
Deputies asked the man medical questions, and he stated he has a heart problem and high blood pressure but didn’t know what type of medications he took, and then stated he didn’t want to do the FST but said he wanted to complete a preliminary breath test.
Deputies administered the PBT which came back with a .171 BAC.
Deputies placed the man under arrest, and learned he had a previous DUI and had restrictions on his driver’s license, including needing to have an interlock device in his vehicle, which he did not have inside the vehicle.
His mother was called to retrieve the vehicle.
He was booked on a second DUI, driving on a revoked license for DUI, failure to maintain a lane, and operating a vehicle without an I-Lock device.
Bail: $4,498
