NHP: Fatal crash near Glenbrook closes Highway 50 at Tahoe

Highway 50 at Lake Tahoe near Glenbrook in Douglas County was closed Sunday night due to a 3-vehicle crash in which one fatality was reported, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at 5:11 p.m. at US-50, Douglas mile marker 3. Both travel lanes were blocked in both directions. One person died, one was flown by Care Flight, and one person was taken by ground ambulance, according to NHP via Twitter. NHP says impairment is suspected.
As of 7:30 p.m. NHP advises there’s no estimated time for reopening the roadway. The closure is estimated to last another several hours and motorists should avoid the area.
