— Muscle Powered Sunday Bicycle Ride. 9 a.m. Meet at Fremont Elementary School, 1511 Firebox Rd, Carson City. in the south parking lot, next to the Linear Ditch Trail. Come join Muscle Powered for a free, guided group walk, hike, or ride around Carson City. Muscle Powered is a local non-profit organization that promotes walking, hiking, biking and trail building.
— Nevada Artists Association Judged Winter Show to run through March 27. 10 a.m. Nevada Artists Association presents the Winter Show. This is a judged show presenting a wide array of entries from Northern Nevada artists. This show runs through March 27. The Gallery is located at 449 W. King Street in Carson City and is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. everyday, except Monday. Visit http://www.nevadaartists.org to see the 2020 schedule of shows and to learn more about becoming a member.
— Host of 'The Hemp Show' to speak in Carson City on benefits of medical hemp. 10:30 a.m. at Rustically Divine, 410 N. Carson St. Twenty years ago Joanne Rees-Ehlinger read "The Four Hour Work Week" and it inspired her to simplify her life. She is once again taking a page out of that book, having reduced her possessions to a few boxes and traveling the world in search of adventure. She hosts a weekly "The Hemp Show" online.
— March Meditation Walk. 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Carson River Park, 5013 Carson River Rd. Join our Community Volunteer, Kelsey Kareck, for a morning of Meditation at Carson River Park. The walk will feature two 10 minute meditation sessions and a walk along the Mexican Ditch Trail discussing the concept of Inner Prosperity. Come prepared with water, close-toed shoes, and layers. Dogs are not allowed, minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
— Pasta From Scratch Cooking Class at Sierra Chef. 1 to 3 p.m. at 2292 Main Street Suites 3 and 4 in Genoa. We will be making fresh pasta with dough and all the right fixings on Sunday! It’s an event you don’t want to miss. $55 per person, please arrive on time for class.
— Reverend Hylton at Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint. 1 to 4 p.m. at 1500 Old Hot Springs Rd. in Carson City. Reverend Hylton is an Americana Singer/Songwriter out of Atlanta but truly calling the road his home. He is currently touring the nation with his songs of relatable tales of life experiences. Heartbreak, addiction and traveling are the substance of his melodic musical, lyrical and vocal writings.
— 'Salute to Young Musicians' concert featured at Carson City Community Center. 3 p.m. at 851 E. William St. The concert will feature the choirs from Bordewich-Bray and Fritsch Elementary schools. The concert is free and open to all members of our community and surrounding areas.
