Pieces from an aircraft that crashed and killed a Minden pilot Monday have been recovered by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team.
A drone used Thursday by searchers located the missing pieces of the aircraft around a half-mile south of the crash site, said DCSO Undersheriff Paul Howell. The FAA is continuing its investigation of the incident.
Stephen Filice, 64, died in the crash after search crews found the wreckage from the twin engine Piper PA-34 Seneca in the vicinity of Hobo Hot Springs, west of Highway 395 and south of Plymouth Drive.
