Law enforcement responding to alleged attempted shooting on N. Stewart Street
UPDATE Saturday: According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, one individual was arrested in relation to the shooting. Several shots were fired into the air, and no one was injured or threatened.
The suspect was a recently released prison inmate.
A further report will be forthcoming.
UPDATE 7:46 p.m.: Deputies have two individuals detained.

Carson City deputies are responding to an alleged attempted shooting that occurred just after 7:30 p.m. Friday in the area of the Freedom Flats apartment complex.
Five to six witnesses called dispatch to report shots fired, stating that a man had fired a gun into the air.
However, a follow up call from a woman indicated the man had actually fired the gun at her boyfriend but had missed.
So far there have been over ten witnesses to the alleged shooting.
Deputies are attempting to locate the suspect who is described as a 5’8” white male adult wearing a red hat, white shirt and black slacks and was with a second male subject. They were last seen heading towards Smith’s.
No injuries are reported at this time.
