Douglas Sheriff: Unidentified man reached for handgun in confrontation with Walmart security
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a man who reached for a handgun that was underneath his jacket after he was confronted by Walmart security.
The incident happened on Friday, Dec. 30 at approximately 10:40 p.m. at the Walmart store, 3770 U.S. Highway 395 near the Carson City, Douglas County line.
According to Douglas County investigators, the suspect was confronted by Walmart Asset Protection because it was believed he had stolen items concealed in his sweatshirt. The suspect left the store in a white hatchback (possibly a Nissan Versa) with unknown license plates.
