Carson City's Catmandu introduces their Cat of the Week: Miss Kitty
Happy New Year Carson City! Christmas may be over but Miss Kitty is still waiting for her Christmas miracle. This sweet old gal has suffered a lot of neglect and would like to live out her days in a home where she will be loved and cared for.
She is a snuggle bug and will keep your lap warm this winter. Adopted as a kitten, she once had a happy home and people to love. Unfortunately, a divorce left her unwanted and relegated to the garage for the last several years. Oh, how she longed for a human to love her and hold her again.
When she came to Catmandu, veterinarian Dr. Sean gave Miss Kitty a full check-up and a lion haircut to get rid of her badly matted coat. Although a senior, this 18-year-old girl checks out in surprisingly good health. Perhaps she stayed strong because she was determined to find a second chance at love.
Miss Kitty would do best as an only cat in a quiet home. She would love to be
someone’s lap cat where she can soak up all the love and attention you have to give. She is a perfect candidate for Catmandu’s senior-to-senior foster program. This program places senior cats with senior citizens age 55+. The cat lives with you and for all intents and purposes is your cat. The difference is that if something happens and you are no longer able to care for your cat, it can return to Catmandu. And, if the cat develops any health issues, Catmandu provides veterinary care and homeopathy.
If you believe a senior cat still deserves a loving home and would like to be Miss Kitty’s Christmas miracle, please give us a call at 775.297.3419. She is in a temporary foster home and a meet and greet will need to be scheduled. Catmandu’s regular hours are Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Holiday hours are New Year’s Eve 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed New Year’s Day.
Currently Catmandu has over 80 cats waiting for homes. If you have room in your heart and home for one of our sweet kitties, please consider adoption, or if you would like to help by volunteering or by making a much-needed donation, please go
to: https://catmanducc.org. We appreciate your helping us continue to care for Carson City's orphaned, homeless, and abandoned kitties. Meow means thank you.
