Carson City's Catmandu introduces their Cat of the Week: Kizzi
Happy Holidays Carson City! Meet Kizzi, whose Christmas wish is a home of her own with people who love her and truly want her.
Only 9 months old, this sweet kitty has never had someone who truly loved her or known the safety of a secure home. When she was just a tiny kitten, Kizzi was given to someone as a gift. Unfortunately, the recipient did not want a kitten. Eventually her owner moved and left Kizzi behind. More bad luck placed Kizzi in a new and different home with a big dog. The dog terrified Kizzi so she spent all her time in a closet, until finally she was brought to Catmandu.
In spite of her rocky beginning, Kizzi is very sweet, loves pets and attention, and is a very active and curious little girl with a big personality. An adorable short haired female, she is mostly white with black patches on her head and tail, including a Marilyn Monroe-like beauty mark on her face. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots.
Kizzi’s mom got sick while she was pregnant, leaving Kizzi with a very mild neurological condition. She has a slight head wobble and she gets excited easily. However, she has no issues with balance and gets around just fine. This condition will never worsen. It just makes her even more adorable.
This sweet kitty’s wish list is a home without dogs, other cats or small children. In fact, she would prefer to be your one and only pet. If given the loving, forever home she craves and deserves; she will give endless love, joy and fun in return.
If you have room in your heart and your home for this sweet girl, please come and meet her this weekend at Catmandu. We are open Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1829 Brown Street. Adoptions close at 4 pm and we ask potential adopters to arrive no later than 3 pm so they have plenty of time to spend meeting the cats.
Catmandu is a cage-free non-profit cat rescue, adoption center and sanctuary. We currently have over 80 cats waiting for homes. If you have room in your heart and home for one of our sweet kitties, please consider adoption, or if you would like to help by volunteering or by making a much-needed donation, please go to: https://catmanducc.org. We appreciate your helping us continue to care for Carson City's orphaned, homeless, and abandoned kitties. Meow means thank you.
