Carson City's Catmandu introduce their kitties of the week: Bert and Ernie
Hello Carson City. Did you know that December is National Cat Lover’s Month? It’s the purrfect time to adopt a cat or even better, two. Meet the Dynamic Duo of Bert and Ernie, twin brothers born on May 26, 2023. Just 6 months old, these two will provide you with double the love and twice the entertainment. They love to play with toys, lasers and especially each other.
Let’s hear from this adorable pair. Ernie: We are the cat’s meow! We love to be pet and held, unless we are busy playing. We like to talk to our people too. Bert: When Ernie wants to be cuddled, he will tell you so, over and over again until you pick him up and give him love. Ernie: Did someone say cuddle? Meow.
These boys were born to a homeless, pregnant Momma cat named Foxxi who was abandoned by her people and living on the streets of Reno. She was rescued and brought to Catmandu. Foxxi went into a foster home in time for the birth of her kittens. While she was scared and very protective of her newborn kittens, she was a great mom and took very good care of them. Recently, Foxxi found a forever home. Now it’s time for Bert and Ernie to find theirs!
The boys are already neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on their shots! Strictly indoor kitties, they prefer no dogs and a home with children 6 or older. If you have love in your heart for these sweet, loving brothers and would like to give them the forever home they deserve, please complete an application on our website at: https://catmanducc.org. Adoption hours this week are Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm. We are closing at 1 pm this Sunday for our volunteer Christmas party.
Catmandu is located at 1829 Brown Street. Please come early to visit and get to know the kitties.
Catmandu is a local cage-free non-profit cat sanctuary and rescue. We always need volunteers and/or donations. We appreciate your helping us continue to care for Carson City’s orphaned, homeless and abandoned kitties. Meow means thank you!
