Performances are live on stage at the BAC Performance Hall in Carson City for two weekends only, Dec. 3-12, Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, seating is limited.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students/seniors, $10 for children ages 4-12. Children 3 and under are free if accompanied by an adult and do not occupy a seat. Limited VIP tickets are also available for $20 and includes reserved seating in the first three rows and a coupon for concessions.
To allow our cast members to perform without masks, and for the protection of our staff and audience members, all guests, regardless of Covid-19 vaccination status, must wear a mask at all times while indoors at the theater, except when actively eating or drinking. Thank you for your cooperation.
This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage — including an adventure with legendary demigod Maui! Disney’s Moana, Jr. is sure to bring out the hero within each of us. Fun for the whole family, the show features all the beloved songs from the film including “How Far I’ll Go”, “Shiny”, and “You’re Welcome."
Disney’s Moana, Jr. is brought to life by a cast of over 80 young, local performers, ages 5-18, who are excited to return to the indoor stage for the first time in 18 months.
“There is so much incredible young talent in our community we had to double cast this production,” commented Carol Scott, WHCT Executive Director. “This production celebrates the rich stories of Oceania and is based on the beliefs and cultures of the people of the Pacific Islands.
Moana was developed in collaboration with an Oceanic Trust to create this stage adaptation and we are proud to present a diverse cast, led by Kimora Whitacre and Anuhea Azevedo playing Moana and Jay Escobedo and Yvon Cabrera playing Maui, supported by an extremely talented cast of young singers, dancers and actors."
