Carson City area tradition continues: Tiffani and Bailee's 9th annual holiday sealed toy drive underway

Event Date:
December 6, 2021 (All day)

After our virtual toy drive last year, organizers of Tiffani and Bailee's 9th annual holiday Sealed Toy and Game Drive has returned stronger than ever with its pledge to give children who are being treated in the hospital for cancer, the best Christmas possible.

Toys are needed by Monday, Dec. 6 and will be delivered to the hospital on Dec. 10 where they will undergo a cleaning process and then wrapped and delivered to the children on Christmas morning.

Tiffani Barber was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer in 2012, and passed away in 2014 after a long, hard battle. While Tiffani was receiving various cancer treatments, she spent a tremendous amount of time with children in the cancer ward of the hospital.

When a social worker came in and asked how they could help her, she replied with: "how can I help them?" and thus the sealed toy and game drive was created. Tiffani and sister Bailee realized that there was a gap for children with no immune systems to receive Christmas gifts and that is why it is a SEALED game and toy drive.

Due to these children being high risk for infection they are unable to play with toys that have already been opened, but this toy drive allows for them to receive a small gift basket of games and toys to play with on Christmas. This allows for some Christmas cheer to be brought into the hospital rooms.

For questions about the toy and game drive contact Bradley Barber, at 775-721-5941 or dragenman93@yahoo.com.
