Free breakfast for senior veterans Thursday, no-cost dinner for all veterans Friday at Carson City Elks Lodge
Nevada Rural Counties Retired and Senior Volunteer Program and Carson City Elks will provide a free breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. to ages 60-plus senior veterans. This event will take place at the Carson City Elks Lodge on 515 N. Nevada Street, Carson City.
Celebrity chefs Charlie Abowd, Carson City Supervisor Stan Jones, and Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong will be serving pancakes, sausages and beverages.
The following day, Friday, Nov. 12, the Carson City Elks Lodge is hosting a free dinner for veterans to thank them for their service. This event is open to all veterans. The event is limited to 60 places at the table. Call the Elks for reservations, (775) 882-2177.
Dinner menu of pork chops w/dressing, gravy, corn, salad and cake. For non-veterans, cost is $10.
