Friends of the Douglas County Library Book Sale at the Minden Library Nov. 17-18
The Friends of the Douglas County Library will host a two-day used book sale, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18, at the Minden Library, 1625 Library Lane.
The sale will feature paperback and hardcover fiction and nonfiction books, plus a selection of holiday books and puzzles.
A preview sale for members of Friends of the Library will be from Noon to 3 pm on Friday, Nov. 17; non-members can join at the door. Members of the Friends receive a 10% discount on all purchases throughout the sale. The public sale will be from 3 to 5:30 pm on Friday, November 17, and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, Nov. 18, with ½ price sale from 3 to 4 pm on Saturday afternoon.
The Friends recently switched to quarterly, seasonal book sales at the Minden Library, with sales scheduled for February, May, August, and November in 2024. Donations of a box or bag of gently used books, CDs, DVDs or puzzles are accepted at the Minden library during library hours. Larger donations are accepted on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons only.
Proceeds from the book sales are used by the Friends to support Douglas County Public Library programs and projects for infants, preschoolers, children, “tweens”, teens and adults.
