Sierra Lutheran Cross Country State Meet Results
The Sierra Lutheran High School Cross Country Girls Team made up of all Freshman and Sophomores finished fourth in the 2A State Championship Meet Saturday at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno.
Freshman Kailey Fitzpatrick finished 8th covering the 5K course in 23:57, Freshman Riley McHenry was 16th in 24:44, Sophomore Ava Zimmerman was 24th in 25:55, Freshman Christi Kennedy was 38th in 29:54, and Sophomore Sierra Carranza was 40th in 30:22. North Tahoe won the Team Title with 14 points, White Pine was second with 44 points, Laughlin third with 51, SLHS with 67 points, Coral Academy (86) and Needles (93) rounded out the top 6.
In the boys 2A State Championship Race Senior Teagan Hansen was second in 17:12 to Incline Junior Niklas Pietzke who ran a 16:55. SLHS Junior Andreas Gilson was 16th in 18:58. The North Tahoe Boys won the Team Title. The Falcon Boys were crowned as the Academic State Champions.
