Carson City Library launches food drive now through Nov. 27

November 7, 2013 (All day) A food drive to benefit the Ron Wood Family Resource Center, sponsored by the Carson City Library, is happening now through Nov. 27. Donate six full-size food items, canned or packaged goods and enter a drawing to win four movie passes to the all-digital Galaxy Theatre.
Preferred items include protein such as ravioli, stews, soups, tuna and peanut butter; grains such as cereal, rice, pasta, and dried beans. Fruits in fruit cups, dried fruit such as raisins, plums and cranberries, applesauce and 100 percent juice boxes. Kid-friendly items include fat-free, sugar pudding cups, granola bars, popcorn, graham and/or animal crackers and baby products. Items must be non-perishable and must not be expired; no glass, please.
