Carson Chandler returns to Virginia City for the Sutro Restoration Fundraiser
Carson Chandler returns to Virginia City for the Sutro Tunnel Restoration Project Fundraiser, after a year after his help at the last fundraiser.
The last fundraiser was hosted for the Haas Family for cancer treatment. Chandler, a large crowd and other local musicians including Lady and The Tramps, David John and the Comstock Cowboys and more, were able to raise $6,000 to help with treatment and surgery for the family.
A year later Brandy Haas has completed all her treatment and is home with her year old daughter and supporting husband thanks to all the help from the northern Nevada community.
The Sutro Tunnel Restoration Project in Dayton Nevada is a nonprofit organization which is helping preserve and restore the historical Sutro Tunnel which was first constructed in 1869 by Adolph Sutro, 153 years later the Friends of Sutro Tunnel are working to not only preserve the sites history but make it accessible to the public.
With Phase One already underway the goal of this project is to make a positive impact on the Dayton Community and restore its history.
