Fundraiser announced honoring Nola Belle, daughter of museum directors, who was killed in tragic crash
Last year, the Director of the Nevada State Museum, Dr. Josh Bonde, his wife Becky Hall, Director of the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada, and their two daughters Nola Belle and Kiera were involved in an accident. All were seriously injured in the accident and Nola Belle lost her life.
The Friends of the Nevada State Museum, in coordination with the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, are planning an event to honor Nola Belle's memory with the creation of a special area in the Children’s Museum. The new area will reflect the spirit of Nola Belle, and encourage other children in their life journeys.
A Dancing Through the Decades event with a live jazz band is planned for Thursday, November 2 from 6 to 9 pm and will include hor d’ oeuvres, coffee, and dessert along with a cash wine and beer bar.
There will also be a raffle with great prizes. Tickets are $50 per person and available after Thursday, September 14 at the Nevada State Museum and Children’s Museum stores. Attendees are encourage to dress in attire from their favorite decade.
Special thanks is extended to the Leadership and Culinary Arts students at Carson High School. For further information or to donate a raffle item, please contact Deb Schafnitz at dschafnitz@yahoo.com.
