Award-winning painter Colleen Reynolds to host plein air workshop in Carson City
Award winning watercolor painter Colleen Reynolds will share her successful approach to plein air painting Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Carson City. This is an outdoor workshop sponsored by the Nevada Artists Association.
Participants will meet Colleen at a chosen local downtown Carson City site for a 1-2 hour plein air demonstration. Participants will then choose a location to paint and Colleen will individually advise each person focusing on values, composition, and technique.
The workshop will wrap up at Colleen’s studio with a group critique. In the case of inclement weather, the class will meet at Adam’s Hub, 111 W. Proctor St, Carson City.
Class price: NAA Members – $60
Non-members – $70

Colleen learned early on to narrate her life experience with art in the desert hills of Nevada. After a 20-year career with the Navy she returned to college to earn a BFA in Visual Art.
She is a renowned teacher and professional artist. In addition, she is the founder and presenter of “Watercolor Carson City,” a competitive competition in its third year, bringing talented watercolor artists to Carson City.
