EAA Young Eagles are offering free flights for kids at Carson City Airport Sept. 23
Interested in experiencing the thrill of flight in a single engine aircraft? The Carson City EAA Chapter 403 is hosting another Young Eagles event at the Carson City Airport on Sept. 23.
This event is free and is open to kids ages 8-17 years of age. On the day of the event, the kids will get a pre-flight safety briefing and then get to fly in one of a variety of single engine aircraft that are owned by our Young Eagle Pilots.
They will also get a Log Book to record their flights, a free membership to the EAA Young Eagles and an access code for free on-line Ground School.
Registration is on-line and opens on Sept. 18, 7 a.m. and closes on Sept. 22, 8 a.m. It is limited to the first 70 kids that register. There will be no walk-ins allowed at this event. This registration fills up very quickly, usually within the first hour of opening.
Parents or guardians must be present at the event due to EAA regulations. Children will be unable to fly if their parent or guardian is not present.
