Gourds and more: Silver State Art Festival returns this weekend to Carson City's Fuji Park
Nevada Gourd Society is hosting the 6th Annual Silver State Art Festival happening this weekend, Sept 6-8 at the Fuji Exhibit Hall and Park in Carson City across from Costco.
The festival will take place:
— Friday, Sept. 6 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
— Saturday, Sept. 7, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
— Sunday, Sept. 8, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
This Festival truly features “Art in Valley,” with over 40 award-winning artists sharing their art including beautiful gourds, photography, paintings, pottery, watercolor, jewelry, note cards, wood-turned products, and much more.
Admission is free.
Art classes will be held outside in the park. Please stop by if you want to start something new or just want to play. We are accepting walk-ins.
We also hold a large raffle and silent auction to benefit the Nevada Humane Society.
Thanks to the community support, last year we donated $15,000.00 to the Nevada Humane Society.
Stop by on Friday evening from 5-8pm and get a free glass of wine and enjoy a little music. Lady Griller food truck will be there on Saturday.
The Nevada Humane Society will be on-site Sunday with a van of animals ready to adopt.
