Cowboy Blues crossover artist Gary Allegretto to play Carson City's Nashville Social Club
Allegretto will perform Friday, Sept. Sept. 16, 7:30 pm at The Swan Music Hall at Nashville Social Club, 1105 S Carson St, Carson City.
Not only is Gary the best harmonica player you will likely ever hear, but he is also a remarkable singer, songwriter, guitarist and a masterful entertainer who seamlessly crosses over Blues and Cowboy music genres. He has been recognized with two Grammy Award nominations, the 2019 International Western Music Association Performer of the Year Award, a Will Rogers Award, and the Blues Foundation’s prestigious Keeping the Blues Alive Award.
Western Horseman Magazine raves; “Gary's music transcends genres, generations and cultural barriers, yet is so professional, engaging and core to the cowboy that listeners can’t help but want to ride along a while longer and discover something new in a song.”
His songs have reached the No. 1 spot on the Western Music radio charts and his music is featured in major motion picture soundtracks and TV shows. Gary’s engaging and often laugh-out-loud songs tell stories drawn from his rich and diverse life experience in the West (including ranch hand, forest firefighter as a USFS Hotshot, and bouncer in a couple of rough honky-tonks).
