Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation hosts historic Wungnema House open house
The Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation will be having an open house on Saturday, August 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be at the historic Wungnema House, located on the east side of Mills Park across from Carson High School off Saliman Road.
It is adjacent to the Farmers Market at the Teixeira Pavilion in Mills Park. The Foundation for Carson City Parks & Recreation promotes and supports individual and organizational-based projects to enhance indoor and outdoor recreational facilities and public use areas that are under the administration of the the City’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department.
FCCPR was established in 2015 as a non- profit member-driven 501(c)(3) organization. Operating as an independent, non-governmental organization, the Foundation is dedicated to bringing together members of the Carson City community to encourage and enable public support for the continuing enhancement of Carson City’s parks and recreational facilities.
