Virginia City’s Gold Hill Hotel hosts ghost tours on Aug. 10
The Gold Hill Hotel, as seen on Ghost Adventures and proclaimed as the 8th most haunted location in Nevada, is now offering Historical Ghost Tours on Aug. 10.
The tours benefit The Comstock Foundation for History and Culture. The event is hosted by the Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters, will start the evening off with a gourmet dinner in the Crown Point Restaurant in the hotel.
After dinner, NNGH will guide you back in time with tales of the history and the hauntings of the hotel and the surrounding area, known as Slippery Gulch.
Using ghost hunting tools and techniques, you can try to make contact with the spirits still in residence at the hotel. Please note that you will also be touring some of the actual haunted rooms in the hotel.
Before the tour or during the intermission, quench your thirst and calm your nerves with a drink in the 150-year-old bar, as frequented by Mark Twain back in the day.
For dinner and the tour, it’s $60.00 per person, gratuity and transaction fees not included. For just the tour, the price is $35 per person.
The two tours starts at 6:30 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. depending on which one you sign up for!
Tour 1’s dinner is at 5:00 p.m. and the tour starts at 6:30 p.m.
Tour 2’s dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and the tour starts at 8:15 p.m.
Dinner is a set menu of many of our favorite entrees we offer at the hotel. The options may vary.
