Carson City's Catmandu introduces their Cat of the Week: Piglet
If you are looking for a new best friend that will love you forever, come by Catmandu to meet Piglet. Just like Winnie the Poo’s side kick, Piglet will follow you and be your constant shadow. Piglet was one of four cats that belonged to a senior lady before she passed away.
He was her favorite and as a result the other cats picked on him. He is ok with other cats as long as they leave him alone, but he would much prefer to be your one and only.
Piglet is a healthy 10-year-young tabby. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. Piglet is a little shy with people he doesn't know, but an absolute sweetheart once he is comfortable with you. Because of his mature status, he is eligible for our Senior-to-Senior long-term foster program which places senior cats with senior citizens age 55+. The cat lives with you and for all intents and purposes is your cat; however, if something happens to you and you're no longer able to care for your kitty, the cat can return to Catmandu. Also, if your kitty develops any health issues, Catmandu will provide homeopathic and veterinary medical care.
“We’ll be friends forever, won’t we Pooh” asked Piglet. “Even longer” Pooh answered.
To meet your new best friend and loyal companion, visit Catmandu Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1829 Brown Street.
Catmandu is a cage-free non-profit cat sanctuary and rescue. Since opening in 2014, Catmandu has helped more than 2300 cats and kittens find a better life. Most of them come from disadvantaged backgrounds. They are strays, feral born, or abandoned. Catmandu needs the support of our community to stay open.
