The Brother Dan Show welcomes Alex "Muddy" Smith, today at Carson City's Bank Saloon
Monday, July 25, host Brother Dan Palmer welcomes troubadour Alex “Muddy” Smith for an afternoon of music and chat, at the Bank Saloon in Carson City. Smith has entertained Northern Nevada audiences for many years, in addition to appearances throughout the western US.
A versatile guitar picker with a wry sense of humor, Smith’s tastes and skills range from bluegrass to jazz. His recent travels have taken him to sunny southern climates during the winters, and he is currently performing throughout the season in Northern Nevada. This is a good chance for Carson City audiences to get to know this veteran performer, even as viewers check in to the online show from across the country and around the world.
The Brother Dan Show streams every Monday on Facebook, starting at 5pm, and welcomes a live studio audience to attend the broadcast. In person music starts at 4:30, with free munchies from Mangia Tutto available, in addition to the craft cocktails this local historic venue is known for. The show features a rotating line-up of guest artists in a casual environment, giving audiences a chance to get to know them on a personal level through interviews, and a chance to sample their musical talents.
Bank Saloon, at 418 S. Carson St., features a variety of live music throughout the week, including solo acts on Thursdays, larger acts (duos, trios, and more) on Friday and Saturday nights, and The Brother Dan Show on Mondays.
