Dayton Urgent Care holds annual backpack, school supply drive; Carson Urgent Care also accepting donations
Dayton Urgent Care is having its annual student backpack and school supply drive. This year organizers are also collecting hygiene items as well and have announced donations can also be taken to Carson Urgent Care in Carson City.
Organizers said Dayton Urgent Care has had great results during previous drives, designed for school children who may need a new backpack and school supplies.
"We are hoping that if we start our drive early then we will be able to help more kids then we have in the past. All of the donations will be helping the kids in the Dayton and Carson City area," said organizers Della Estep.
This year organizers are "changing it up a bit" with the addition of hygiene items and offering a Carson City drop off location.
"Not only are we collecting items at the Dayton Urgent Care but we are collecting items at the Carson Urgent Care as well," said Estep. Dayton area residents who wish to donate can drop off donations at the Dayton Urgent Care, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 901 Medical Center Dr, Dayton.
