Family Fun Saturday at the Nevada State Museum: Exploring Topographical Maps and Fremont
Looking for a fun, educational activity to enrich your Saturday? Discover Family Fun Saturdays at the Nevada State Museum.
Saturday, May 17 features Exploring Topographical Maps and the Fremont exhibit, from 10 am - 3 pm for ages ten and up. Discover how to read a topo map to plan hikes, understand the flow of water, and appreciate the rugged Nevada landscape; construct a hill using contour layers and learn how to read a compass.
Enjoy a guided tour of the museum's newest exhibit, Finding Fremont: Pathfinder of the West. Each activity lasts 30 minutes. Choose your time slot. Tickets available starting at 9 pm the day of the event.
Admission: $8 for adults; free for museum members and ages 17 and under.
