NNDA May Breakfast: Veterans in the Workplace
Join Northern Nevada Development Authority in welcoming Major Kevin Burns, (Ret) USMC, Veterans Resource Center Coordinator at Western Nevada College, as we discuss how the center assists Veterans transition into the workplace, what areas the center offers assistance in, and what key skills makes Veterans valuable employees.

The Veterans Resource Center at WNC was opened January of 2013. It started as a place on campus for student veterans and has grown into the model veteran resource program in Northern Nevada.
The Center is manned by an all veteran staff that knows what it means to serve. The Center maintains focus on its motto of "Vets helping Vets" by operating a diverse selection of programs and initiatives designed to serve its diverse population. The Center's primary focus is to assist the veteran or their family in the transition to the world of higher education.
