Bethlehem Lutheran School announces retirement, new principal named
Bethlehem Lutheran School would like to announce that after 41 years of service in education and 21 years as principal of Bethlehem Lutheran School, Mr. Lonnie Karges is retiring at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
Families and former students who have been impacted by Mr. Karges’s many years in Carson City and who desire to extend their well wishes on his retirement are invited to an Open House in Luther Hall at Bethlehem Lutheran School on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 1-3 pm.
The school is excited to announce that Mrs. Debbie Winkelman, after 26 years of teaching and working as the director of the early childhood center, will be the new principal. Mrs. Winkleman brings a depth of experience and knowledge to the role and the staff is excited for the school year to come.
Open Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year is also now available. The school serves students from preschool through 8th grade. Families who would like to apply or check out the school are welcome to call the office to schedule an appointment.
Due to the move of Mrs. Winkelman to principal, the school is currently looking for and accepting applications for a kindergarten teacher.
