Volunteers sought: CASA of Carson City to host information hour April 14
CASA of Carson City is actively seeking 25 new volunteers to join our ranks! Are you interested in advocating for children in foster care? Do you enjoy seeing families thrive and flourish? Would you like to give back to your community? Then perhaps being a CASA volunteer is for you.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to advocate for children in foster care to make sure that their needs are met and that they don’t fall through the cracks. A CASA volunteer works one-on-one with a child in the foster care system. As a CASA volunteer, you can make a major difference in a child’s life, especially during their transitional years to adulthood.
You have a powerful opportunity to impact the life of a foster child when you volunteer with CASA of Carson City. Not only do children with CASA volunteers have higher graduation rates, but they also have a lower rate of being homeless or committing a crime. We encourage people from all cultures and professions and of all racial, ethnic and educational backgrounds to apply.
New CASA Volunteer Spring Training will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 with info hour beginning at 5:30pm.
Be a superhero to children in care! Become a CASA Volunteer today.
