Listener Request Hour on The Brother Dan Show, March 7, at Bank Saloon
This week, The Brother Dan Show will feature the host, as he performs an all-request show, streaming LIVE from the Bank Saloon in Carson City on Monday, March 7.
Brother Dan Palmer began his professional career in Northern Nevada in 1979, and while his chosen profession has taken him across the country and around the world, he’s always considered Nevada his home. More than 40 years later, his network of fans and fellow musicians have been enjoying his online performances for over three years.
As of the first of the year, The Brother Dan Show has again begun inviting fellow musicians to join him to make music and talk about their careers.
This week, though, Brother Dan will be performing a solo all-request show, drawing on the hundreds of songs in his repertoire. “I announced the show a couple of weeks ago, and requests started coming in immediately,” Dan said. While the online audience is submitting requests in advance, the local audience will also have an opportunity to make requests in person during the show. So far, requests include songs from the Beatles, Cindy Lauper, Keith Urban, and others, including some of Brother Dan’s original music.
Brother Dan has a five-song EP and two full-length all-original CD projects available, with a third one in the works. Past performances include opening for many well-known bands including Three Dog Night, Foghat, The Tubes, Donovan, Humble Pie, Black Oak Arkansas, War, and others. His music is frequently heard on local radio station KNVC 95.1 in Carson City.
The Brother Dan Show features professional musicians in a casual setting, chatting and making music together, and gives the audience a personal look into both their music and the artists themselves. The Bank Saloon is a great backdrop to this ongoing weekly production, is a proud supporter of local independent music, and is quickly becoming a mainstay of the local music scene.
Located at 418 S. Carson St. in Carson City, the venue features artwork from noted Nevada artists in this one-of-a-kind historic building. The venue features a rotating line-up of musical acts on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, in addition to The Brother Dan Show every Monday.
